Portland's Giant "Bird's Nest"

Giant Bird's Nest
Don't ask me what it is or why it's there, it's probably decorative?! Not sure, but it's just one of the many oddities you'll find around Portland.

Pearl District

Rejuvenated Buildings In the Pearl District
The Pearl District in Portland, has a lot of old buildings that have been restored, but the character left intact. This building has a cool little Espresso shop and knick knack store next door. People sit outside and enjoy a cappuccino on the patio in March.

Portland in December

Some fun shots of Portland from my visit in December...

Shane at the St. Honore French bakery...we had croissants and cafe au lait, of course...

Shane at Deschutes Brewery (and our good dark beer).

An interesting Asian restaurant in Sellwood (these little placards were placed on the table so they knew where to bring the orders).
Shane patiently waiting for our food to arrive.

Red bean paste dessert dumplings...mmm...

Portland Rose Test Garden in December

Shane and his Mom and I took a walk around the Rose Test Garden while I was there in December.  It was chilly, but things were still green.  Can't wait to see this in the summer!
