Starlinghoundstooth came about because while we were apart, Shane and I didn't always get the chance to share all the things we were doing from day to day with each other, and everyone was curious about what Shane's up to!  This way, using a blog, we can easily share photos with our family and friends, and it helps us all feel a bit more connected.  I wasn't sure what to call the blog, but I liked that Shane used to call Bella and Lily "Houndstooth".  And we couldn't leave the birds out of it, so that's where the name came from.
