Roses at the Park

This morning when I took Emmy to the dog run area at the nearby park, I noticed that I was surrounded by beautiful roses.  They are mostly the wild-type; they smell SOOOOO good, and the scent is so intense.  The white ones are so dainty, they look like tissue paper, and the petals have just a slight pink tint.

This one is an oddball in the row, it looks more like a double bloom.


This is a row of the rose bushes that runs along one side of the dog area.

Not sure what kind of tree this is, but it is just covered in these tiny pink flowers.



Southwest Portland in April

I've been house-bound the last week with a bastard of a cold, and today's the first day I've felt like going outside.  The weather today has been on and off, cloudy then sunny, then rainy and sunny again.  So when the sun broke out this morning, Sam, Emmy and I hit the streets.  For some reason I was drawn to the SouthWest area of Portland, which led us into Goose Hollow, here are some pics of our tour:
