Yes, those are marks from her drooly chops on the table hahaha... I know, I love blintzes too; I should be making my own, but these are so tasty (and so easy!).
I was recently in Toronto and there are so many quality convenient foods...it was a blast and I will tell you more about it in my next email. So, I am sure your Portland is just like that! I'm thrilled that I can walk down to Wallaces now and pick up a box of Rice-a Roni and a block of cheese...they are turning it into a convenience food shop of sorts. Good in an emergency when the thought of walking to No Frills is overwhelming. I can't tell you how many awesome food shops I've read about in Portland! I am constantly reading things about Portland...I will have to make a list for when we come visit some day! Sorry this is so long. You know me...once I get started...
Yes, there are lots of quality convenience foods here, and most aren't that expensive either, so it makes it very tempting to buy those instead of making something. I've even bought good frozen chocolate croissants and macarons from Trader Joe's! Haha...Rice-a-Roni...but that's good that they are carrying some food, I'm sure a lot of people appreciate that now that there's no grocery store downtown. Yes, that's a great idea to make a list! We can walk to a lot from where we live, and most things that aren't in walking distance are only a 15 minute drive away, so it'll be easy to check out everything on your list.
Ha!Ha! are those lick marks on the table? Mmmmmblintzessss. Now, I'll be thinking of blintzes all week. Guess I'll have to go make me some.
