Spring is On The Way

Today Emmy and I took some photos on our walk...unfortunately, my phone died about 5 minutes into the walk, but I did get a few photos of some of the flowers that are starting to show up in our neighbourhood:
The beautiful camellias; this one is so perfect that it looks fake!

Quince blossoms.

I don't know what these shrubs are, but the flowers smell like a cross between roses and candy.

Hellebores.






These ones aren't actually flowers, but tiny little berries.

Another camellia, they are so prolific, so many blooms they're lining the sidewalks.



A patch of chives at the side of the road.

The first rhododendron I've seen blooming this year.

Hawthorne trees in bloom. They look like cherry blossoms, but oddly they have no scent.

      Yes, the flowers are crazy here! The Hawthornes are really attractive, interesting looking trees. Emmy likes to eat the berries when they fall on the sidewalks.
